Default Trim Fix

Okay, my B7 is only an 06 and the chome trim arount the windows looks like crap. I've tried a couple of things with little benefit. The owners manual cautions to look for "PH Balanced" cleaner and recommends you go to the dealership. Not finding anything that mentions PH balanced at the usual places I went to the dealership and they had no recommendations. When I explained the way the trim looked, they sited acid rain. This is bull, when you can go get a ford pinto from the junkyard and make the chrome look great, but a 6 year old audi looks crappy. Does anyone know of anything that will actually work on the trim???

i dont have any experience using it but you can plasti-dip. its a spray paint that comes in different colors and can be easily peeled off like a thin layer of plastic if it chips or you dont like it.

I have considered the PlastiDip and I may end up trying it out, but in the meantime, it would be nice to be able to clean up what I have. I feel like there has to be something that will make it look better.
