Tuning Question
I have a 07 2.0T that I have chipped with an APR 93 program. It is amazing and I highly suggest this to anyone who is interested. I was thinking about improving the exhaust and was looking at the Milltek exhaust and/or high flow cat. I have a tiptronic and I know that there is a limit to the amount of torque that the transmission can accept. Are you safely able to run both the APR 93 Program (241hp/292ft-lb) and have the Milltek system?
I'd be interested to know the answer to that as well, I'm in the same boat - just had that upgrade done yesterday. I was told there is a tranny program coming out some time next week that might make a difference...
i would be careful about the 400+hp claim cuase they most likely have a manual tranny....i think with the light easy mods, (chip, exhaust,..... wing:-P) you will be fine but if you do somehting crazy like a turbo swap or something that will put it at around 325hp or above you will start running into issues with the tip because then you are puting an incredible strain on a tranny that might not be ready for it
Well, there's a guy on AudiZine actually running 400 HP through a CVT... so I'm guessing the tip tranny can hold better than that. But yeah, search around here and other forums and see what configurations different people have.
not calling you out (paul), but no one has put down 400 HP yet on a b7, no dyno has ever been posted, besides what APR or other bt claim. APR claims 375 HP, not sure if that is to the crank or WHP. We are almost there, but not quite
OP: you should be fine with your mods, you can even go bt with this tranny and not have problems (unless you run really high boost)
