Default Weird sound, not a bearing....

I have an '07 A4 2.0 w/ 44K. The left rear wheel is rubbing against the front side of the wheel well (mostly the splash guard). When the car is raised up, the left rear wheel aysembly moves forward. when the car is on the ground it doesnt seem to be shifted forward. I measured the distance from the center of the front wheel and back wheel on both sides (approx. 102") both sides are the same. Someone said it could be a control arm bushing? or maybe the car was hit in the left rear and the whole section is pushed forward. Has anyone else had this problem?
BTW...I bought the car from North Bay Import in East Windsor,CT. Not a great experience at all.

Thanks,
JL

a bad bushing wouldn't cause that. i bet it was involved in a botched accident repair job. take it to a dealership to get diagnosed. do you have any guarantees or warranty from north bay?

I concur with "esandes" that your 2007 A4 was in an accident and was not properly or completely repaired by the body shop. The left rear wheel assembly should not move forward (or) backward for that matter!! I would take it to an Audi dealer and/or a good body shop for analysis.
