Default What size wheels

Does the size of the wheels affect the acceleration of the car? It comes with 17s stock so would 18s or 19s make it any slower? Or is it more important what the weight of the wheels is? Thanks!

you want to make sure that the overall diameter of the wheel and tire are the same. i believe the 17" runs a 55 side wall. if you go to a 18" rim you would have to run a 45 sidewall. this keeps you speedo and mileage correct.

but weight and size do have an effect

smaller lighter rim less rotational mass better acceleration but top speed will suffer.

and same goes the other way heavier rims and tires more mass to rotate so slower acceleration.

It all depends if you are going to be doing with your car.

hope this helps

Agreed. As long as the overall diameter is the same and weight is the same, you can go 18 or 19 inch and you will notice nothing. If the diameter is taller, your car will be geared different and be less quicker. If the weight is more, rotating mass is affected and will be noticable if you buy heavy wheels. I have been able to tell in the past with lighter wheel choices.

Thank you for the info!
By the way Kris,I am supposed to get the apr fuel pump installed on Monday. I hope stage 2+ makes me happy. It is a lot better without the BOV already so I am really optimistic this time

Dude, that test pipe is awesome except for its smell. Its killing me. Other than that I love the sound and how much quicker the car is now

You can get a high-flow cat, e.g. from 034 http://www.034motorsport.com/product...ducts_id=19185, which they dynoed and showed about the same response as test pipe, but without the smell.
