Default Windshield Mess

I mistakenly used the Invisible Glass with Rain Shield on my windshield instead of the non rain shield version. Now my windshield beads, but I have a horrible film that I can't get off. It glares with overhead lights, and smears with the wipers, when they aren't now chattering over the windshield. The glare makes it almost unsafe to drive at night. Any ideas on how to get this stuff off. Nothing I've tried works. I'm totally disgusted. I now have a messed up windshield and I'm guessing ruined new Audi wipers.

Take a ride down to the supermarket , get some creme de tarter(it is actually a white powder substance like flour). It is found in the baking isle. Mix with water & clean your windshield with it & rinse with water.

Creme de Tarter isn't abrasive enough to scratch or haze the windshield is it?
