2009 A4 oil change schedule
I'm confused by the maintenance schedule. there's one that says 5/25/45 and so one, and another 15/55/95.
I bought the A4 with 8000 miles on it and now it has close 13K. Theres a sticker on the windshield that says to change at 13300. What is the rule of thumb for frequency of changes and what oil to use? i called the dealer and the repair shop i always use for changes in the past and they both said if i use synthetic oil, it still should be changed every 5K miles. Sounds like BS to me, thanks for any help.

factory scheduled maintenance is to be performed at every 10,000 miles... the first is 5,000 so every 10 after that.... 15k, 25k, 35k and so on.
But there is individual oil changed needed to be made every 5,000 miles in between.... if you have the service plan, these in between changes are not covered by warranty
