Default 2009 B8 low compression issue!!! Help pls.

I have 2009 Audi A4 CAEB 2.0T, I am not the original owner, timing chain failed after sending the head to the shop and putting everything back together there is low compression in cylinders.

Not enough information. How many valves were bent. Did you replace them all and did they leak test the head after it was done. Where the valve guides checked and where new valve seals installed. Also was there any piston damage and how did the cylinder walls look. Did you replace the pistons and rings or just keep what was in there. I assume the timing was checked and the new timing chain was installed correctly. How many miles on the engine.

I have done a leak test on the heads and the cylinders, the cylinder walls, looked smooth so I kept what was in there. Did not check valve seals or valve guides. The engine just came to 90k

I would say that if there was no damage to the cylinders, there is no reason why the Pistons and rings are not still sealing as before, my guess would be slightly bent valves sitting just off their seats, they will have hit the Pistons and bent when the chain went, if you can connect and air line to a cylinder with a leak down kit you will hear air escaping into the inlet manifold if you take off the air box and listen to the intake side of the engine, hope this helps

Default Update, Update, Update!!!!!

For anyone that might be having this issue, the intake cam lobes were spun that's why the vehicle had no compression. And yes the the new Audi 2009 and up engine code CAEB are chains, there is three of them. One for oil pump, one for balance shafts and one for cams!
