Hi
I hope I'm in the right section. I had a crash in my a4 b8 2.0tdi. All the airbags are ok i.e non blew. As far as I can recall all the seatbelts were ok and there was no airbag light on the dash.
Took it to the repairer who for whatever reason took the sensor of the front end and now the airbag light is on plus the driver side seatbelt has locked up.
Is there anyway of removing the airbag light?
Secondly Can I repairer the drivers side seatbelt?
Any help would be really appreciated.
(BTW the garage have told me that this sometimes happens.........but I don't agree).

If the airbag light is on, you have a fault. Often the seat belt tensioners go bad, even if they were not in use. The airbag system components cannot be replaced by anyone other than a dealer. They must be new Audi components and they must be parameterized, coded, and the values must be sent to the server in Germany. This updated Audi records and its the only way to get rid of all airbag faults and get the system working again.
