I took off my steering wheel last week in order to change my headlight switch http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec114.shtml and after i fixed my headlights i reconnected my airbag (and airbag connecter) to the steering wheel and i noticed that my airbag light was on and is solid... What did I do wrong? All I did was disconnect it then reconnected it after... I have a OBD2 scanner and tried to clear the code but no luck... Anyone know of a way to turn this light off?? (dealer is last resort as usual) I appreciate all help... Thanks AF guys

You can't turn off the airbag light with a generic OBD scanner. You need a vagcom.

 

thanks david for clarifying this up for me... but do you (or anyone else for the matter) know why this could've happened from d/c the airbag connection and then reattaching it?
