Default A4 front break pad and rotor replacement

I have a 2009 Audi A4 2.0 Quattro. The mileage on my car is about 30K and my front brake pads need to be replaced. The Audi dealer has given me a quote of $700 for replacing front brake pads and rotors. I went to local German car repair shop and he suggested that I should get ceramic break pads for the same cost. Does anyone have any experience with ceramic break pads on a A4 and which brand is recommended?

I went with Akebono pads. Also unless the rotors are out of spec I would not replace or turn them down. Just install new pads and be off. Ceramic pads are almost dust free so no more black wheels.
