Default Alcantara Seat Question

I'm looking at either a 2011 A4 Avant with the S line package or an S4.
I like the perforated Alcantara seats that come with the S line package. I live in a hot climate and I think they may be cooler than plain leather ( wish Audi offered ventilated seats like BMW and Cadillac does).
I tried both the S4 seat versions, non-perforated Alcantara with plain leather surround or the 1000 dollar upgrade "Silk Nappa" leather seats. Personally I didn't think the "Nappa Silk Leather inserts were worth the 1000 dollars, they didn't seem much different than the standard leather except a smoother finish ( more slippery). I did like the fact that on the S4 you can get two tone seats.
My question is, does anyone have long term experience with the Alcantara seats? How well do they wear? Are they easy to clean?
The salesman said he thought they may "pill" with time and If I go with the S4 I was thinking of the Black with Silver Alcantara centers. Does anyone know if the silver Alcantara shows stains easily? And if so, how well do they clean up?

I don't have long term experience with the Alcantera seats, but I looked an s-line vs prestige a4 and the salesmen actually told me that they give the prestige a better trade-in percentage rate because of the Alcantera seats in the S-line. That didn't affect my buying decision, but thought it was interesting comment he made.
