Avant Allroad in the U.S.?
Is Audi ever going to bring the Allroad to the U.S.? I like the Avants and will probably end up with that but the Allroad would be nice.

Don't hold your breath. Seems to me that Audi (meaning the US branch) is scared to introduce anything that has the potential not to sell well (A6 Allroad, A4 or A6 with a TDI engine, even manual transmission in A4 Avant, for #*@* sake...) and the fact the Q5 is a commercial success makes the appearance of an A4 Avant Allroad on US market even less likely...
I'm not really sure what's behind this policy, but if it makes their other models (that are actually available in the US) relatively affordable (my own research shows the prices in the US are about 40% less than in Europe for the same models with the same add-ons, which is a huge difference, albeit helped by sales/VAT tax differences that Audi has nothing to do with), I'll take it. Although I'm still royally pissed off that I had to buy the A4 sedan if I wanted manual transmission, although I love the Avant.
And if you think the A4 Allroad is the perfect car because of its looks, utility and SUV-like capability with car-like advantages, then there are two of us...
