B8 2.0T Problems! P0299
Hey Guys, I recently purchased a 2009 Audi A4. Here is a bit of backstory;
The chain tensioner failed on me 2 weeks after i purchased it. The engine was completely replaced. Originally my Audi has 94k on it, but the used engine they just put in has 141K on it. They told me it would be fine and that they also changed the timing chain and tensioner on it for extra piece of mind. It ran fine for a few days, until i noticed a loss of power and the P0299 Error code came up. I got the diverter valve changed on it and noticed a little increase in power but not back to how it originally was. It is also driving really rough at low revs and gears, and white smoke is coming out of the exhaust like crazy. Also it has been drinking oil like crazy as well. I have driven it maybe a total of 2k on it and already added 3 litres of oil to it.
I'm thinking maybe its the PCV valve causing oil to leak into the intercooler causing the turbo to under perform?
I'm just wondering what you guys think.
Sorry about the rant, just not very happy with my vehicle right now.

Could be the seals in the turbo are shot. (turbo is blown) go to the passenger side intercooler and pull the hose off, all u need is a flat head and 1 minute of your time(and a oil drain pan in case). If oil poors out then you will have your answer.
