Default B8 Intercooler numbers??

Wanting to know if anyone has got any(HP+TQ) numbers on adding a FMIC to the 2.0.

Dont care what kind FMIC. A FMIC is FMIC no matter the brand. Just looking for number and pics. If you installed it yourself, any problems you ran into during the install would be helpful too.
Thanks

Forgive me if the response seems dumb, i dont have an aftermarket FMIC. But it was always my understanding that an aftermarket FMIC doesn't add HP or TQ. It just prevents you from losing HP & TQ @ WOT. So when the website says "+10hp" its not that you are now getting 10hp more, its that @ WOT you will no longer lose 10hp due to the air temperature rising.

if my understanding is correct, then what "figures" are you looking for? if im dead wrong then somebody please correct me.

considering that the peak HP on most cars comes at or after 5,000 RPM, this means you've already been at WOT for a few seconds in 3rd gear pull. So this would add HP over what would otherwise be experienced.
Also, the act of compressing air causes heat, the opposite can be experienced if you use a can of air from an office supply store, the decompression of the air causes a cooling affect. So the second you hit boost you are starting to increase the air temperature over the ambient temperature. An Intercooler attempts to cool this air back down, but in the process also ads turbo lag because of the extra volume of air between the turbo and the intake.

Your not going to see any gains that justify the price, plumbing, and cutting up of your bumper.

Unless you a running a bigger turbo a FMIC isn't going to do any good....

Instead maybe find way to increase the airflow to the stock ones.

People used to do it alot with B5/B6's because they only came with one and tuning was very basic at the time. Now adays they are de-tuned performance machines. A simple chip makes the biggest gains possible
