I recently bought a 2008 A3 8P, this it started jerking and failing to change gears, if you start it it just picks a random gear and holds onto it. Then the PRND started flashing which when I googled means the car is in limp mode, plugged in the VAGCOM and its saying the car is stuck in reverse but so far it can shift from drive to reverse, but it jerks when you shift into drive. How can I fix this?

The technician suggested that we check the transmission oil level, that where it got tricky. The gearbox doesn't seem to be the one thats meant to be in an 8p


Help with the location of the transmission filter.
