Default Do you really believe a 10k oil change interval?

I have always used synthetics and changed 2x/year which ended up being 3000-7500k, and I felt pretty guilty about 7500k. Does anybody else out there have some doubt about 10k being a good idea for oil change intervals? I realize that's what they recommend but it just doesn't seem consistent with other recent cars I've owned.

Also, can somebody please tell me the oil capacity for the car? I am not able to find it in the manual after looking for a bit. I saw 4qt on a forum somewhere, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

Thanks!

What you are doing - 6 months - is cool. Its what I do and have been for a long time. 2 (American!) cars going over 200k miles proves it. If you use a good synthectic, it can do 8-10k easily...

When is the oil to change when the level goes on low? And Hold up does the car actually eat oil? Because my level after about 4000 KM is now going to low? Is that the life or the quanitiy left ?

No.. you need to 'top up' the oil once in a while.. Thats normal.
