I have a B8 AT quattro i want to replace the Airbag since i was in a minor accident and it popped searching in ETKA i could not make sense on the part number that i need. Since my interior is beige it says that the part # is 8K0880201e1gk but it also show 8K0880201a1gk. I have a 4 spoke steering wheel but i see that 8K0880201a1gk also works for 3 spoke steering wheels, so im stumped, do the airbags fit a 3 spoke and 4 spoke steering wheels?

In taking a quick look in etka the E wheel is for sports steering wheels, with and without multifunction, the A is leather with multifunction. There are so many choices the only way to order an airbag is with the vin number to your car. It looked like the options for both those part numbers changed depending on which engine you have, which probably corresponds to the trim level the vehicle would have. You can't use a sports airbag on a non sports wheel, as you said. Not interchangeable.

The stump part is if I search for a non sport wheel like 8K0880201a1gk it gives me 2 results: one for a 3 spoke non sport and a 4 spoke non sport, so my question would be, are the airbags from non sport wheels interchangeable between 3 spoke and 4 spoke?

 

You would need the 8K0-880-201-A-1GK which now supercedes to 8K0-880-201-AG-1GK and runs 865.66 retail and 751.39 for the internet price, plus hazmat shipping and with UPS that could be in the 50.00 range or more, depends on other factors. That's for option codes with tiptronic, leather and multifunction. I understand your question, but all the sports wheels I see have PR codes of 1XW=leather, sport, m/f wheel, 1xx leather, sport, mf with tiptronic, 2FQ leather, sport, m/f, tip ( I know, the same but no other info given) 2PD leather, sport, with S badge, 2PU leather, sport, mf, 2ZC leather, sport, mf, tip, S badge, of which your vin has none of those options. As you know etka doesn't have accurate pictures of all parts. Your airbag is also used on some of the 6 cylinder models, where you have the 4 cylinder. There is some interchangeability but as far as I know not between sport/non sport wheels if the difference is 3 or 4 spokes.
