I bought my 2009 Audi A4 (manual transmission) about 3 months ago off CarMax and up until now have had no problems. About a week ago I noticed a loud thud coming from under the mid-front of the car when I shift (mainly from 1-3). It feels like the whole transmission is moving forward with the momentum between shifts, if I drive careful you can't notice it but something is definitely not right. I jacked it up over the weekend to check the transmission mount and everything looked solid, nothing was loose. Before I take it to a mechanic and spend my life's savings I wanted to see if anyone has had the same problem and or a solution. Thanks.
