New 2009.

I had taken it to Audi service and they "couldn't duplicate it" so they couldn't "fix it".

Bu**sh** I told them the wheels were out of balance. I watched the balance machine at the service station - behold EVERY ONE was out of wack and I had to foot the bill. Who ever heard of a brand new $41000 car that shakes from wheel vibration? This one did. Don't get me wrong we love the Audis... better than any crappy BMW. The service department and I now have a bit of a better understanding but I still ended up footing the bill. How retarded. I was pretty pissed...not that it happened but that it wasn't handled properly by the local service department.

The wheel balancing / Road forced balance is covered under the warranty -- if the car is within 12K miles or within an year since purchase, whichever comes first. You should call Audi of America 1800 822 2834 and be reimbursed. Again, this is covered under the new car warranty. They got this done for my car and I didn't pay anything out of pocket.

With my manual 1.8T if I launch around 1,200rpm it has vibrations.
What could this be?

No high speed vibrations though, and if I launch at 1,500rpm it does not vibrate

Make sure its not the tires first.

I bought the 2010 A4 and had a vibration/humming noise on the highway. Complained enough and Audi gave me 4 new tires (they figured it was manufacture defect). Anyways, the noise was still there. Had enough and bought high performance summer tires and the noise and vibration was gone. Ended up selling the factory ones on Craigs List for $500.

The tires that come with the 2010 A4 are junk!!

The factory tires were Goodyear LS2. The performance tires I bought were Bridgestone RE760. Great tire!

My 2009 vibrates, and I have Pirellis. At 5000 they balanced and replaced one of them. Going in for 15,000 on Monday and will report the same issue, I vibrate at 60mph. Luckily I have Audicare so its all covered.

Honestly I would take it to your best mechanic after they do anything or everything.

I did and I'm out $200 but defiinitely happy now.

Default Regarding low speed vibration

I've got an 09 A4 Avant w/18" sport package. Original tires were Potenza R050a high performance summer. With these...no vibration. Just replaced with Toyo Proxes4...all of a sudden, I've got an intermittent vibration when I start out from a stop and turn the wheel. Dealer claims to have heard the complaint before, but no recall or TSB issued. Earlier posts mentioned a TSB for a power steering hose....Does anyone have any more info on this?

Thanks

I just got the wheels/tires balanced because I also had vibrations present at 150km/h or so.
All but 1 wheel were imbalanced, 1 was 20 grams off, the other 2 were 15 grams off each.
20 euros for a balance of all 4 and now there are no vibrations.
Car has 20,000km on it.

So, anyone who has a high speed vibration, go get your wheels balanced!
