Low oil pressure
2010 2.0TFSI Engine code: CAEB
I have the low oil pressure warning light and code 5582 - Oil Pressure Switch for reduced Oil Pressure P164D 00 [040] - Malfunction.
Fresh oil and filter, correct oil level (display AND dipstick I installed a while ago).
I replaced the oil pressure switch (single pin) under the oil filter.
The code and warning light come back, at low rpm/idle. Goes away at higher rpm.
Based on the above, and what I have read about the TFSI engine, the oil pump needs to be replaced.
Is there a good DIY link somewhere?
What parts do I need to order for the job?
