I've spent a lot of time driving A4's and just about every conceivable near-alternative. The new 09 is a softer ride with softer steering than my 1998 A4that I need to replace and also softer than the more recent B7. I don't like it, but I still rejected the sport suspension because
a) it's just a bit too bumpy
b) I can't give up the 20mm of height--this car has to get my kayak to the end of the boat launch or to the trail head where ever that may be.
c) I really don't care at all what the wheels look like
