Hey guys,

I'm looking at one of two 2009 A4's as a second car...My X6 isn't exactly the best car to venture downtown with, as we have a lot of small streets and minimal parking spaces....so after much deliberation I have narrowed it down to different audi A4s

1- Non dealer 2009 1.8T for almost $6,000 less than the dealer price (don't ask). Laguna Blue with grey leather which I really liked (being a second car, I wanted a "different color" not black or any shade of grey. Extras over dealer's car are mainly the 18" S line wheels and Sport steering wheel with paddle shifts. Audi Concert stereo. No service contract is included with this car

2- Dealer car: Garnet red (another color I love) with beige Milano leather. Doesn't have the sporty options, wheels are standard 17"s and 4 spoke steering. Extras over option 1 include audi symphony (i'm assuming exact same system but with changer), ipod connectivity, and auto hold.

I'm leaning towards choice 1, as the price difference is too great to ignore, as well as the sportier setup. I have the auto hold feature in my x6 and I love, but it's no deal breaker.

I'm worried about the 18"s being too bumpy, any advice guys...the car doesn't have a sport suspension...just the wheels.

i own a 2008 X5 and keep it mainly in sport mode, when i ordered my A4 i didnt see too much of a difference from the audi and the X5 in sport mode. I wouldnt worry about that at all. beside, its nice to feel the road under your tires.....enjoy that

 

Couple of clarification: 2009 are 2.0 turbos. S-line sport wheel package only comes in 19". You are probably refering to the 18" sport package which does not come with s-line wheels (5 spoke) but rather 10 spoke. Service contracts are a waste, if you have a reputable Audi mechanic in your town they'll do just as good of a job for a much lower price. If the mileage is good go for #1.

 

Actually the wheels are 18"s with 5 spokes, exactly like the ones in the catalog. Maybe different market, different options?

Both are brand new btw...I'm leaning towards the aruba blue with the sports steering wheel and the sports wheels!
