I mentioned some posts back that my kid updated to a 2015 A4 which was a dealer service car with 550 miles on it. The car was serviced by the dealer prior to shipping it up north. Since then we did the next oil service at 5,000 miles . Based on the dealer recommendations the next oil service is due at 15,000. The car now has 12,300 miles on it and it is here for the week end. I just checked the oil and it still reads full both on the MMI screen and the dip stick. So my assumptions are the oil consumption has been corrected and hopefully it will not show up in the future prior to the car being sold at 75,000 miles. By the way we plan to have the oil changed at 12,500 +/- miles.

 

Oil consumption was fixed in 2011.... A few trickled over to 2012, but it was very rare

 

With a turbo, I would change oil every 8-10k regardless of what the service engine indicator says. But if you're dumping it at 75k, why bother. I do the maintenance and plan to run my Audis >200k.
