Default Phonebook download issue on Bluetooth

My wife has a 2009 A4 cab. She had an old Motorola razr phone that the phonebook downloaded perfectly. She just switched to an LG env2 (9100). The Audi compatibility list says it's totally compatible. It pairs but only 13 of the 90 contacts in her phonebook download. Worse, it's a totally random group of contacts. There's no order, no traits in common (like whether it's entered as a home or cell #, or has a 1 before the # orset as a speed dial).
I've brought the car to Audi and they were stumped. Brought the phone back to Verizon and they were stumped. They tried a new phone and I eneterd the numbers manually (vs. transferring them) with no luck. Anyone have any idea's.

Some phones store some contacts on the sim and some on the phone itself. Perhaps that's the issue?

reset your bluetooth to factory settings in the MMI screen,
Delete the AUDI UHV 234 connection from her phone
take the phone batt out and put it back in.
then turn on the car, re sync the phone to the car and WAIT till all the contacts load fully!! very important it may take a while.... then you should be good from then on

Switched the phone to a Palm Centro and it works perfectly now. By the way, how do you get to the MMI screen to reset to factory specs

To reset the bluetooth to factory (hard reset)
In MMI screen
press the TEL button
Press the Setup Button
Scroll down to reset to factory settings or something and click yes.
this will erase all data stored onto your MMI module and you can start from scratch

I am going to tee up a stupid question. What is the benefit of syncing your phone book to the MMI?

Also, my "call log" "last dialed" etc. doesn't show up correctly - all of the numbers are combined onto one line, is there a way to fix this?
