Bluetooth phonebook question

Bluetooth phonebook question
My wife and I both have the same Samsung phones. My phone will connect via bluetooth and my phonebook downloads to the car's bluetooth system. My wife's phone also connects but the phonebook doesn't come down. Is this because the A3 only will allow one phonebook even though it allows up to 4 phones to be recognized? If so, how do I erase my phonebook and get my wife's to work?

RE: Bluetooth phonebook question
No, it's because the phonebook download feature only works with phones that support the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). Your wife's phone probably only supports the Headset Profile (HSP). Check with Samsung support for your phone to see if they have a firmware upgrade that might enable the HFP profile. That worked for my Treo 650.

But that doesn't necessarily mean you have the same firmware. Were both phones purchased at the same time? I have used three different cell phones with my BT package and it definitely supports phonebook for more than one phone - there is no need to "delete" anything.

RE: Bluetooth phonebook question
This is so true. you may have the same phone but the firmware may be different. Also you may use your phone more often in different formats other then just as a phone. so it updates the firmware more often. A lot of phones have a tool section that you can go into and update hers.
