Potential 1st Time Audi Owner
I've never owned an Audi before and I am considering purchasing a 2010 A4 in the next month or so. I'm coming from a history of all BMWs so I dont really know what to expect but I hope that the lack of power doesn't bother me to much. That being said, i was quoted a price on a 2010 model, Premium Plus, automatic transmission with Navigation, 12k miles a year, 3 year lease for $500 a month (including tax, $3000 down). Would you all consider this a good deal or is it way to much for an A4? I realize that i can get a very basic A4 with hardly any options for just below $400 a month, but i figure i use the Nav alot and the other options would be nice to have. Any ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Wow I thought no one was going to respond here, finally! =) Well, thanks for the input, my biggest concern is the performance, because im coming from a 2008 M3, which in no way am i comparing to the A4 because they are 2 completely different cars, i just currently need a more conservative vehicle that I will be handing over to my wife after about 1 year, but i still want it to be something that I will enjoy driving for that year. Unfortunately the M3 spoiled me and everything I've test driven since hasn't satisfied me the way the M did. I thought about an S4 or S5, but i just feel like they are over priced for what you get, so i think the A4 is a great deal for a nice family car that still performs somewhat like a sports vehicle. I just wanted to hear some feedback from current owners because I've never owned an Audi myself and figured you guys could give me some great insight about your experiences.
Fair enough, I understand. Once a great car spoils you, every other car seems like crap. The Audi did that to me. As far as the performance goes it's surprisingly nimble. I used to have a heavily modified V8 and this little 2.0T would have given it a run for it's money. And with a few inexpensive mods you'd have an even more potent engine on your hands, even with the stock turbo. Check stasis engineering for the HP and 0-60 times. You'll love the quattro too-I can't imagine using another 2WD car. The Audi handling is fantastic too. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Take one for a test drive and see for yourself.
