I have a 2011 A4 Avant w/Titanium package. I have to make a long road trip in November with family (to include 2 Newfoundland dogs). I am looking for a rooftop cargo carrier. Anyone have any suggestions? Also need suggestions on a liner or cover for the interior.

Had the car for about 4 months now and love it. Have had a minor recurring problem. Every so often I get an transmission/gearbox malfunction. The car states "malfunction but still safe to continue driving." I run the the car thru the gears manually, in sport, and drive but they seem fine. I do hard some hard accelerations and still nothing. I switch off the car an restart it and it is fine the rest of day. Has anyone else encountered this? Car goes in for it's 5000 mile service this weekend so I will find out if the malfunction stays in the memory.

for the trunk, audi also sells a liner for the floor that's made of hard rubber. the other thing you should watch out for is the rear bumper by the hatch. your dog could rly scratch it climbing in and out of the car.

as for the malfunction, i'm sure there's a tranny code like an engine code when the check engine light comes on but there's not check tranny light. demand that they fix the problem so you never get that light again.

 

I also have a 2011 Avant S-Line and I went with factory roof bars and a Thule Ascent 16 box. For me it's perfect. I can put two full size golf bags plus a ton of other luggage into it.
