Tinting: Did they screw up my window? Picture included.
Hi everyone,
I bought a 2009 A4 not too long ago, and went to get it tinted today. I started taking a good look at it after I picked it up from the shop just now. I notice something a little weird with the rear window. I included a picture (close-up of the upper left from the outside)....does it look like the rear window is missing the seal?
Can those of you with 2009 A4's take a quick look at your rear window and let me know if the tint guys left something off when they put back my window? Right now, there is absolutely no seal around it - is it supposed to be like this?
Thanks.

I took a picture of mine. I have a quartz gray car, so its easier to see the transition from glass to body. The tint is 5%.
Comparing my picture to yours, I'd say they look the same. Nothing wrong with your car.

Thank you all for the replies. I have been away from the computer for a bit.
tighr - the pic you took is very much appreciated. They do look the same. Also, it rained for a few hours today when I was at work. I was reassured that they put the window together correctly when I came out to take a look after the rain and the inside wasn't flooded!
Loving the car so far! I look forward to my commute every day.

ah12, I finally understand what you are asking...
Do you mean that your tint guy remove your rear window to put on the tint film? Excuse my lack of knowledge in tinting, is it a normal practice to do that? That seems a bit excessive.

On roll downs they'll often either remove the bottom piece of window trim (the thing that has the fuzzy protective thing along the length of the window) or the door panel (depending on what is easier to remove). That way they can tint the whole window, as opposed to leaving a small gap at the bottom.
Also why rolldown windows are more expensive to tint than stationary windows.
