want to be new owner, some general questions
Hi all, I'm new to these forums and audi's in general.
Ever since the new 2009 A4/S4 came out I have wanted to get one. I just love how they look. Up till now I have had a 2000 Toyota Celica that I bought brand new and kept well maintained. I now drive ~70 miles a day for work (most all highway) and am sick of the manual transmission for traffic.
I have been eyeing the A4/S4 and trying to read up on them. I will be interested in chipping it and doing some minor performance mods. I think I have decided on the A4 in either prestige or premium+ (recommendations?).
My question to you guys though is, which year would make the most sense to get? (09, 10 or 11). As far as price, it doesn't appear that the 09's are much cheaper. I am just trying to figure out what would make the most sense to buy new or used. Also not sure if maybe a newer model would have less problems since they have had 2 years to fix the problems found on the 09's. (if any?).
Just looking for some advice here before I buy as I still have to sell my old car and stuff like that. I am planning a purchase sometime in the next 6 months. So any advice you current Audi owners have at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hello and welcome. you can't go wrong with either year. i honestly don't know much difference between the 09+ models other than the styling and the options you get.
if you're interested in tweaking the engine, get the 2.0T because the naturally aspirated engines have no bottlenecks and can't be modified (other than adding nitrous or something). the 2.0T can be chipped (more boost, leaner tuning, etc) out of the box and you can have just as much power as the V6. the 2.0T has been winning the best engine in it's class award since it came out and it's because it's wild. it's smooth as butter when you want her to be or she can turn into a sports car beast in a split second. plus the gas milage of the 2.0T is fantastic. the turbo is also great for passing on the highway.
sorry i haven't helped much between the year and trim selections. i'm sure others will chime in on to help out.
