My car just started getting a steering vibration at 40 to 50mph too. Im at 7500mi. so it seems early for tires. Feel it mostly going straight. These tires are the Goodyear Eagle LS2 w/ the 10 spoke rims.

May need a lot more info to help you on this one.
Does it vibrate while accelerating and decelerating? Does it vibrate if you slip the car in neutral while at speed. If so, it is likely the wheels but could potetially be the half shafts.

It does vibrate under all those conditions (coasting, accelerating, decelerating, and neutral). If it let go of the wheel it shakes left to right and is quite annoying. I took it to the dealer and they balanced the tires and told me they were within Audi's specifications. I had someone at the dealer take it out for a drive and they said it was normal.

I am going to try to find an absolutely flat piece of road and do some more tests. If it is still vibrating then back to the dealer this does not seem normal.

I do have the same problem and I will detail it on a separate topic since the development was very interesting. If your problem persists, I would recommend you to have it looked again.

I believe my car has P6's on it, they are 17" wheels. I drove for 30 miles today on a smooth interstate and the problem persisted the entire time with vibrations on the steering wheel. I am going to talk to the dealer this next week. This is annoying and takes away from the driving experience.

Let me know how the dealer goes. I spoke to the service manager and he said he thought it could be the car giving me a better "road feel". Im sure that is not the case.

I am keeping track of when the car vibrates and when it doesn't before I take it back to the dealer... it seems like on the same section of road at the same speed it doesn't always vibrate.
