my dad's tranny failed. i pulled it out and we took it apart.
while cleaning the valve body we found the section in the picture cracked.
anyone ever seen this happen ?
anyone got a dead 5HP24A DTE they want to pull it out of and sell it to me ?
please help if you can. not available from ZF.

dang that sucks bro. have you thought about welding it? I know they are a weird alloy but worth a try.... its already broke!! I would NOT put a bevel or a grind line; maybe shallow passages??? id just do a small tack, then cool, small tack, then cool, repeat...
