Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and I'm helping my friend fix an automatic 1993 Audi 90CS. Basically we can shift when the engine is off but when the engine is started in Park it won't allow us to shift out of it.

I've been told it might be the safety neutral switch. Is this the problem and if so where is it located? I also heard it was the shift lock solenoid. I'm not very car savvy so if you be as descriptive as you can I'd appreciate it!
