Getting heated mirrors to work

Default Getting heated mirrors to work

My glass was missing out of the side mirror housings.. so i dont know what i need to get the heated mirrors working again. I think there are 2 loose green wires in there..what did they connect to??

green wires normally mean ground

AH i see... is there supposed to be something like an element in there or anything? I will have to see if i can find something in the bentley manual for more info.

heater element is not in the mirror glass but in the motor area

OH ok... interesting.. i wonder why the green wires were loose.. like i said my car was missing both mirror glass when i got it. The dealer finally called yesterday and the parts came in.. i cant get it until next week when i can get my temp plates

Thanks i really appreciate it Its a lot different than working on my old 56 chevy... i think the chevy has less wires in the whole can than the engine compartment of the audi hehe
