still dont know anything. I have been through the wireing diagrams and all relays. I found one more relay next to the steering collum below the cluster, disconected it and still no difference. What is this Relay? still @ a loss so if anybody has anything else to ad please let me know.

well It's fixed. I dont know what I did but since Thanksgiving it has been running properly. all i did was get fed up and decided I would put the interior back together and drop it off at my local euro mechanic and have him fix it. but as soon as I put everything back together and hooked up the battery, it just decided to start working. I guess the car just didnt want to get probed by the car DOCTOR. it has been running good since. well sort of, the clutch pedal started sticking to the floor. checked prices @ dealer OUCH. found autohausaz.com while searching for parts online and bought a master and slave only $86.00 for both. Thought if replacing one might as well replace both. the fluid that came out was nasty brown and chunky. decided to also bleed the brakes as they share the same reservor; surprised the brakes worked so good for having old gross fluid in them. now everything is running smoothly.

Mike

p.s. My Sister and brother in law just got a killer deal on a 2000 A6. they got it for $10,000 with only 46,000 miles and i even has warrenty; since it was a certified preowned car it has a warrenty to 85,000 miles. they got it a Barrier Audi in bellingham WA. it is in 100% concours condition one of the nicest I have seen. hope they enjoy it.
