Default how to boost power in a 4000

so i got a 87 4000 cs quattro. very fun car but it needs new headlights and more power. the headlights are easy to fix. but im wondering what are some options to do this. im not really interested in doing a full engine swap. i was more thinking something along the lines of just adding a turbo to the existing engine. is that possible? what would i need? could i take a turbo out of a 5000 engine and put it in the 4000 engine? or any other possibilities? im not looking to make it 400hp or anything like some people...just want to have some fun.

turboing a 10v N/A motor is hard to do. the cheaper easier route is motor swap, but if you want some more info, ask or search around on www.motorgeek.com
they know everything there is to know about the audi 5 cyl's...

should'nt be too bad with a standalone unit, it all depends on how deep ur pockets are. Im going with 034's standalone (http://www.034motorsport.com/product...lsdmj8602v3jp0) on my 5k and a gt35 (http://www.034motorsport.com/product...lsdmj8602v3jp0).

Ive heard of some people using megasquirt but from what i hear its a pain to hookup.
