How to remove Ignition switch and lock tumbler - B3 model
It seems that someone tried to steal my car this past weekend. The ignition switch is screwed and I have never before had any issues with it. It is now stuck in the "on" position and I can't engage the starter. I had to roll-start the car and when I got home I pulled the connector off of the back of the switch to kill it.
Unfortunately I do not have a Bentley at the moment and the PDF's of the service manuals that I do have don't seem to show how to remove this assembly. I have ordered the electrical part of the switch from Autohaus AZ but I want to know what all is involved before I start tearing into this job.
What is involved in replacing the ignition switch?
My car is an early build 1988 Audi 90 Quattro.
Thanks!

Swing by your local dealer and ask for a printout of the service book, usually with the age of your car they will do it for free.
If not - google for a PDF of your maintenance manual - many are out there for free!!!
