Default Instrument Panel

I thought that maybe my instrument cluster was bad since the odometer did not work, neither did the trip meter nor the Tach. The speedometer works fine, the fuel gauge and the temp guage are all ok including the fuel computer readout. I picked up a insturment cluster from the salvage yard but to no avail. The same things still do not work. I am guessing that there must be a few bad relays. I have no idea which ones they may be. I am unable to find a manual for this vehicle. I have an 89 Model 90 2.3L 5 cyl.

The Tack, Odometer and Trip have never worked. I acquired the car about 6 months ago and have brought it back from the dead. It was not running at all. I have it running fairly well, stil have some bugs in it. But ever since I have had it on the road.. Those items on the panel have never worked.

look at all the wire conections on teh back of the cluster ... and see if you can check the speed sender unit that is mounted to the tranny ... but deff check on the solder joints ... it is goind to be hard to see so use a magnifying glass

The sending unit mounted to the tranny is supposed to be new, lol. Hopefully it is.. I just had the trans rebuilt. I will take apart the cluster though and check all the connections and solder joints. I have a good magnifying glass.
