Hi everyone.. i just purchased my first audi, its a 1991 200 turbo, it runs great, but has other issues i know very little about fixing, first and most important my blower motor for the heat/air will not work. All the controls on the elec. climate control work, but the air will not blow out at all. Secondly, my speedometer bounces while driving then it will catch and start working and my odometer will start working, thirdly...my pwr. pass seat will not work at all, the seat heater works but thats it.
Any help would be appreciated, its kinda cold up here and i really would like to get the blower working ... thanks.. Phil

 

check your fuses to see if any of them are popped and/or missing. The fuse for the passenger seat/seat memory in my car was missing. probably because it looked like it was just an extra...

 

thanks yent... ill do that. i did check my two wires going to my blower motor under the hood cowling andits getting current and the current changes when i switch from hi to low speeds. so..... is the blower motor itslef bad ??????

 

chances are that the blower is bad then. Double check to make sure you are getting a good ground to the motor as well.

 

does the motor have a seperate ground other than the two wires that go into it ??
