Default Check engine light????

I just finished changing my airfilter to a K&N fitted and took my B5 A4 up the road. Then the check engine light goes on. The car runs fine but can anyone help me on how to remove the check engine?

I think that if you unhook the battery and touch the positve wire to the negative terminal it will reset your codes but I'm not 100% positive.

Or you can go to Autozone to have the codes scanned for free. If the guy there is cool, he'll reset it for you too. Around me, they're ******, and will only scan it for you. Thanks to AF member Hiwords though, I can get mine reset - he's cool about bringing VagCom along to meet up with me Thanks bro
