I have a 95 a6 wagon and am having some problems. My check engine light is flashing the car will start and die after 5mins of running.
I hooked my scanner up and could communicate with everything but the ecm. Trans had some codes for no rpm signal, short at ecm. Sorry I should have written the codes down. Have anyone run into this problem before. I will post more info tomorrow.

If the light is flashing, then it is not safe to start your engine. You could do damage too it. Without codes to the ECU (ECM), we can't really help you.
