Hi! I've just purchased and am awaiting for the delivery of my very first ever Audi... the new S8 with the sort-of-Lamborghini V10.

One thing I love doing on my "simpler" cars, like Corvettes, is tinkering with the factory programming. In the "olden" days I desoldered roms, read them in an EEPROM reader, disassembled the code with IDAPro, edited, reassembled, reflashed... etc.

I'm really hoping there's a head start to the game available. Are there are tools currently for sale for reading and editing the flash for this ECU? I saw an available tune (albeit only 14hp) for sale, so someone's been in there, but I don't know what's available on the market.

Failing a specific tool, is there a generic OBD2 way of reading and writing the flash image?

Any way i would google the topic, most people round here use vag com, lemmingwinks, or uni-settings, but thoose are softcore campared to what your looking for.

 

hi..actually hacking is a technique used by stealers.currently technology is improved so there r more having techniques are developed.when u r uing eeprom that is less efficient one.now a days h/w is also clhaanged in highway.
so use some best s/w&h/w to prevent hacking.
