ticking noise

I have A6 18T 97 65.000 the ticking noise can be heard in an regular bet, when I accelerate slowly remain regular < after a harder accelertion it disipears and starts ticking again when engine runing smuodly. The noise it can be heard better from inside of the car coming from someware below the engine and gearbox it is so enoing.please give me some tips [:@][:@][:@]

I have the same thing. The man at the dealer told me that we have twin cooling fans and soemtimes the rubber between them gets in the way. It can be fixed by looking under the hood at your cooling fans and make sure they have nothing getting in the way. That fixed mione anyway. Good luck

also believe it or not an exhaust leak is a very common cause for a very mechanical ticking noise

my buddy has the same problem with his truck, dealer says its the heat shield.
