Hello, I am looking at buying a B5 A4 1.8T. The seller mentioned that the car has a fouled spark plug, and that seemed weird to me. What would cause a fouled spark plug on an A4? My concern is that a fouled plug is an indicator of a bigger problem. The car has S4 coil packs, but is otherwise stock. Does anyone know if this indicates a bigger problem or if this is just a common occurrence for A4's.

1 fouled plug usually means consistent misfire on that cylinder. Probably the coil pack, not a big deal.
