I have a 1990 coupe quattro 2.3 20v i changed the distributor valve gaskets new filters and someone told me my ecu was fried when my distributor went but now i got them all in and it still wont start i have to jump it everytime but light and everything turns on but wont turn over and start sounds like it wants to start but it wont what can this be?

 

Did you checked the battery condition? Is it finding trouble while cranking? If so, then the problem might be associated with the starter relay or the starter itself. You should also check for proper fuel supply. Also, is the timing adjusted properly? Hope that spark plugs are fine too. The problem with the engine not starting is mainly due to these factors. I hope you can relate any of these with your problem and find a possible solution.

 

It cranks over but wont start sparkplugs brand new ngk and distributor and cap maybe battery blown buy thats pretty new to

 

ok now i figured out im not getting electricity to my spark plugs i checked my wires nothing distributor nothing and my coil pack nothing so now where do i stand im thinking a relay any suggestions?

 

Ignition relay is known to go bad often. The one that provides ignition, once you turn the key. I think you should replace that to see if it helps.

 

ooh .. you need to hire professional to settle down problem.

Ok now i replaced the ingition switch and the ignition coil. And still nothing wth can be holding this back from starting idont get it it cranks but wont start why please sone i really need some help
