Default Beware of Audi Fivedock NSW Australia

My Audi has had several repairs to a headlight by Audi Fivedock NSW Australia- none of which has fixed the problem. The failed headlight is a major failure making the car unroadworthy and unregisterable:

According to Australian Consumer Law:
A major failure to comply with the consumer guarantees includes the following:
•a reasonable consumer would not have bought the vehicle if they had known about the full extent of the problem.
•the vehicle is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be made fit within a reasonable time.

Audi’s response to the problem is to give NO monetary compensation. They believe that the unroadworthiness and unregisterability of the car is not grounds for any compensation - at least none has been forthcoming and the problem has been going on for way too long.

Is the vehicle fit for purpose?

Well, Audi Fivedock would not issue a pink slip because of the headlight problem that they have been UNABLE to fix over several attempts.

Seems dodgy by anyone’s standards and I, who paid tens of thousands of dollars for a car that I thought would be roadworthy a good deal of the time, have been left in the lurch by the manufacturer in Germany, Audi Australia and Audi Fivedock.

I am not surprised that VW (which includes Audi) are having such turmoil in Europe with reportedly up to 35,000 sackings to take place. Seems to be trouble in paradise.

Will report back if anything changes with my compensation.
