My Smog Tech recently recommended Meguiars "Plastix". I am not too sure on the spelling, but you get the idea. I will try this stuff out, I'll let you know how it works.

Default Meguiars offers a headlight restoration kit...

I recently went to a meguiars endorsed detailing certification program in which headlight restoration was part of the program. Its a very simple process but just to warn you the Audi Acrylic is one of the toughest on the road and needs patience and time to make close to perfect.

No one talks about applying clear coat for longevity in that thread.
