Tires & Wheel Cleaners
Any thoughts on Wolfgang tire & wheel cleaner, Poorboy's bug squash, and Meguiar's gold class bug & tar remover????
I'm looking for gentle but effective products for my black TT.

Thanks for the info, but is Eagle 1 also good for the bug & tar removal? I read that the Wolfgang
product I mentioned is water based so I trust that info that I read on the internet. They have a very detailed and informative website.

There are two fields of wheel cleaner. Those that do it by acid and those that don't
Acidic ones have
HF or abf in them They will damage polished aluminium and chrome rims lickity split. They should be used very sparingly. Acid cleaners work by disolving the brake dust
The other end is alkaline cleaners which clean the brake dust by detergents. These are usually considered slower with more required elbow grease.
Bug and tar removers are solvents, are are generally spot application chemicals. meaning you do not spray a car down with them, but put them on a towel hold them to the problem area slowly working them in.
So you are not likely going to find a bug/tar/tire/wheel cleaner. If you do it will likely preform poorly.
I use poorboys bug and tar remover for spot applications that the clay bar could not handle. I use PB's All purpose cleaner for the wheels, by passing their Spray and rinse acidic wheel cleaner completely.
