03 model A4 1600cc Engine light disabled!?
Hi all,
I'm new on this forum but i appreciate and thank all of you in advance for any knowledge i can get here, firstly,i am Dan from ireland and i just got stung slightly with a used Audi A4,first thing is someone disconnected the engine managment bulb,ok before i start, let's just say that i got the car at a very good price but i bought it knowing it needed some work done to it,silly me though as it was my very first audi car getting i didn't spot the engine light was removed/disconnected.
I guess i need to get a specialist to remove clocks now and repair the bulb or circuit, some sneaky person in the past took this out so the light would not be coming on annoying them.
Is there any hope that the engine lights on these things can just not come on for any other reasons? Or am i correct to assume that it has been tampered if it's not coming on.
The airbag light is on also, but i think it could be the connector under the seat to fix this one.
Other than that, glad i got it cause it's a beauty to drive for a 1600 and not sluggish like i thought it would be....
How are these in terms of MPG?
Thanks a lot
