I just bought a 96 A4 2.8 quattro auto. The original radio is gone, replaced with an aftermarket unit that supposedly also controls the trunk CD changer.
I would rather install the OEM radio. What radio should I be looking for?

is it the single din one that is long and skinny or the double din?

 

Currently installed is an aftermarket single slot.

 

do you know if the car came with Bose?

 

I have a 96 a4 2.8 quattro with a factory bose stereo. It is a single din am/fm tape player. I can take a picture of it if you would like so you would know what you should be looking for. You can buy it from audionlineparts.com but it is a ridiculous price.

 

Does it say anything on it, like Symphony or Audi Delta?

It should have CD Changer capability.
