Default 2001 bose speaker sizes

I searched and no one actually said what size all the speakers in the bose system are, and crutchfield says they have not researched my car so they dont know what fits. I have an Audio development 3 way system w 1" tweets 4" mids and 6.5" woofers, but I doubt I'd be able to use it unless I do some custom modification which i want to stay away from. Can someone just tell me what size all the speakers are?

kgsolomon1 - WHAT'S UP!?!? Good to see you here too. Those speakers are SWEET! (I'm a dealer )

That system is going to be really difficult to get to work well in the Audi. You'll be able to get the 6.5" in the doors, but the trick will be getting a solid baffle for optimum midbass performance. The 4"s should go in the kickpanel, and the tweeters on the A-pillar. Feel free to email me for more details.

Another option would be to build something like these:

Ok, that I can deal with. Those doors look nice but how good can the imaging be if the mid is between the door and my seat? What size are the speakers in the rear?

Imaging will suffer...so you should do everything you can to get the mid in the kickpanel (I'm sure you've seen my tutorial), and build up the doors with whatever mass you can add and a big baffle for the 6.5". Put the tweeter on the A-pillar and go active. Some time alignment will help fix your path length differences.

Cheers,
Matt
